The objective of this presentation is to highlight the importance of patient education in the maxillofacial prosthodontic rehabilitation of the head and neck cancer patient. Patients need to be counseled to the potential complications and side effects of each treatment modailiy. Due to educational, racial, and economic differences, patients learned differently. The increased use of technology has expanded the avenues of patient education. With each treatment modality, patient education can be presented in different formats to address the various educational levels of patients.  Patient education is critical to successful treatment of head and neck cancer. The increased use of technology has expanded the modes of presentation. Therefore, patients' learning differences can be addressed.
